ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Develop relevant business plans with clearly defined strategies and objectives.

Northwest Pathology is the leading provider of anatomic pathology services in northwest Washington State and parts of southeast Alaska. Job Summary

This position ensures and performs a variety of complex clerical and registration functions for patient billing, including verification of patient demographics and insurance billing information and maintenance of the billing record.

Essential Job Duties

  • Enters and verifies all patient demographics and insurance billing information is correctly entered in the Practice Management systems.
  • Researches and responds by telephone and in writing to patient, clinic or insurance inquiries regarding billing issues and problems.
  • Maintains patient demographic information and data collection systems.
  • Adheres to quality assurance, safety and other departmental and company procedures and record privacy protocols.
  • Attends various training and meetings as needed.

Education

Experience

Job Summary

The Cytotechnologist accurately screens liquid base, conventional and non-gynecological slides. This position is responsible for screening and reporting cytology specimens in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Performs primary screening of Gynecological and Non-gynecological samples. Renders interpretation and appropriate comments in accordance with established department reporting procedures.

  • Provides scientific guidance and technical expertise; oversees experimental designs, data analyses, and development documentation.
  • Becomes a subject matter expert on NWP’s clinical products.
  • Provides leadership, direction and mentorship to a cross-functional team of employees and stakeholders.
  • Builds and maintains strong partnerships with owners/pathologists/scientists, Lab Operations, QA/Regulatory, Health & Safety, Materials Management and other departments, supporting a culture of quality and good laboratory practices.
  • Continually improves product development processes, implements best practices for design and development for commercial deployment.
  • Investigates assay performance issues and maintains a solutions-oriented approach to troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local rules, laws and regulations as they pertain to clinical diagnostics.
  • Contributes to NWP’s strategic planning in collaboration with program management and other functional leaders.
  • Prepares and presents comprehensive technical or project reports and formal presentations to internal/ external audiences.
  • Communicates results and challenges with colleagues and senior management in a timely manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Medical Director and/or CEO.

Education

  • D. in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or a master’s degree and at least 15 years’ experience in medical diagnostic assay development.

Experience

  • Minimum 15 years of experience required:
    • Genomics and molecular biology, including principles of multiplex PCR, NGS, microarray systems and data analysis.
    • Designing & developing nucleic acid-based “sample to answer” molecular diagnostic products within a regulated environment, utilizing formal design control process.

Job Summary

The primary responsibilities of the Supervisor is to maximize the efficiency of our high-volume Receiving & Accessioning teams and shepherd our processes. This individual will be responsible for organizing and managing a team of employees. They will establish, monitor, and maintain workflow best practices in order to meet client commitments. The SUPERVISOR serves as the liaison between the Molecular Laboratory Manger and other leadership to ensure that all deadlines and standards are met, organization goals and messaging are relayed to each team, and any scheduling or disciplinary issues are escalated appropriately.

Essential Job Duties

  • Plans, schedules, delegates, and supervises the work of the RECEIVING & ACCESSIONING
  • Creates workflow best practices and manages workflow ques to ensure all deadlines and standards are met.
  • Ensures accuracy and timeliness of RECEIVING & ACCESSIONING personnel.
  • Works with Molecular Laboratory Manager to keep personnel abreast of any/all appropriate organization goals, policies, and/or procedures.
  • Establishes and maintain effective working relationship with all personnel.
  • Ensures compliance of department’s work to pertinent codes, regulations and guidelines including District safety programs and procedures.
  • Participates in the selection of department personnel
  • Maintains the cleanliness and safety of the facilities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 Education

  • High School Diploma required; college degree is a plus.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing a team preferred; healthcare background is a plus.
  • Proven ability to think on feet, and problem-solve independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to create workflow best practices to maximize efficiency and meet commitments.
  • Proven ability to successfully lead and motivate a team in a high-demand environment.
